Miniature Battery Impedance Test Equipment

• Measures impedance, dc voltage and intercell connection resistance in lead-acid and NiCd cells up to 2500 Ampere-hours.

The MBITE accurately measures internal cell impedance, dc terminal voltage and intercell connection resistance in less than 30 seconds. The MBITE applies a 1A ac signal to the string (250 V max). The internal cell components impede the current flow. The resulting voltage drop is measured and the impedance is calculated using the connected CT (included). The actual measurement process is quite easy using a hand-over-hand motion moving right down the string - cell, strap, cell, strap, etc. An entire telecomm Central Office string can be tested in less than 15 minutes. Wireless site strings may even be faster.

When the tests are completed, a printout can be left at the site for historical purposes and be reprinted at the office for the file. With storage capacity of 1000 sets of readings, memory capacity is no problem. Not only can these readings be printed, but they can also be downloaded into a spreadsheet for further data analysis.
